Welcome
WE ARE A MISSION TO HELP THE SICK AND MEET THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE IN THE PACIFIC ISLANDS
by Compassionately Arranging Relief and Equipment
Pacific C.A.R.E. Missions collects surplus and out-dated (but still good) medical supplies from the many sources in Hawaii, and purchases needed supplies to help those in need. Normally these out-dated meds and/or replaced pieces of equipment are still very usable and many times near new. Sadly, many of these usable supplies are now in landfills. We have found that there is a great need for these items in our 3rd world Pacific Island Countries where even a Band-Aid is rare and hard to find. We do offer a 501-c3, Federal Tax Deduction receipt for any donated items you might be able to give us and for any financial gifts to help us purchase supplies and cover the expenses involved in this mission-work.
We gather and store these items in a secure location as we have space. Some of the items include all kinds of meds, wound care materials, exam tables, hospital beds, gurneys, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, new foot-ware such as Crocks and slippers/sandals, and many more important health care items. There is also a great need for school supplies and we have been able to help collect and deliver to islands we travel to.
At the present time, we have a small warehouse and a secure lockable container to store and hold these items for future shipping. With the help of some Cruise Lines, sailboats, airlines and shipping companies, we are able to make these important items available to needy locations in the Pacific region. We have been serving these Pacific Islands for about 13 years, and the sources are usually free but the trucking, storage and time to organize supplies and delivery expenses are difficult due to lack of funding. Your help with these expenses would help greatly and enable us to obtain more supplies for the upcoming supply missions to the Line Islands which include Christmas, Fanning and Washington Islands. As of this writing (February 2010), we are developing future plans for delivering supplies to Fanning Island again (with the help of the Holland America cruise-ship Rotterdam) during their 2010 March 8, Sept. 22, and Nov. 22 sailings along with their future 2011 Jan. 3 and March 4 sailings that will call on Fanning and other beautiful Pacific Islands.
Information about our recently completed January 4 cruise mission (and other ones) to Fanning Island can be found on the “latest news” link of our website along with other information about the progress and needs for the recently built Health Center on the island.
We at PCM, and Mission of Hope Ministries in South Carolina, are also compassionately committed to helping meet the people’s needs of the Samoa islands during our annual July medical missions that use our collected and donated supplies. Over 25,000 people there have benefited from our help since our beginning in 1997.
There are so many young and pregnant mothers, children, teens and adults suffering and dying needlessly because of the lack of equipment or medical supplies. These lifesaving supplies could be freely made available by the abundant surplus in Hawaii and your partnership. Please feel free to contact us for more information to compassionately help the needs and situations in the Kiribati regions, Samoa and other Pacific Islands.
Thank you for visiting our website and having an interest in this life saving mission.
